For OP Del Pesce, sustainability also means creating value for people. It is in this spirit that the company has contributed to the realization of the third block of four classrooms and the adjacent restroom building at the Tumaini Academy, In the community of Ol Moran, in Kenya.
The work, completed in January 2026 and it was inaugurated on May 13, 2026, represents an important investment in the future of the younger generations, offering students new safe and modern spaces where they can study and grow.
A project born from international collaboration
The construction was made possible thanks to the collaboration of numerous Italian benefactors, including Pietro Lococo and OP Del Pesce Benefit Società Consortile a.r.l., Together with the Patriarchate of Venice, associations, parishes and private supporters who have chosen to invest in education as a tool for development.
The project was carried out at the Saint Mark Catholic Parish – Ol Moran, In the Catholic diocese of Nyahururu, with the design by architect Stefano Battaglia and the construction entrusted to Jonju Building Contractors.
New classrooms to offer more opportunities to students
The new classrooms today allow the students of the Tumaini Academy to attend their classes in more comfortable, bright and functional environments.
The photographs of the inauguration show classrooms already operational, where dozens of young people can finally study in spaces adapted to their needs, promoting a more effective and inclusive teaching method.
Investing in education means offering concrete opportunities, contributing to the growth of local communities, and building solid foundations for the future.
OP Del Pesce's commitment beyond the sea
OP Del Pesce has always promoted a vision of sustainability that goes beyond the quality of its own fish products.
The company supports initiatives capable of generating a positive impact on the social level as well, by participating in projects that concretely improve the lives of people and communities.
The contribution to the Tumaini Academy represents an example of this philosophy: an investment intended to last over time, because each classroom built is an additional opportunity for hundreds of young people.
Education and social responsibility: shared values
The completion of the works in Kenya represents an important milestone and demonstrates how collaboration between companies, religious institutions, and citizens can transform into a concrete project of solidarity.
For OP Del Pesce, supporting education means contributing to the training of the new generations and promoting a development based on dignity, skills, and opportunities.
The company will continue to support initiatives that put people at the center, believing that social responsibility is an integral part of an ethical and sustainable way of doing business.
