The short supply chain

In aquaculture production, the legislation requires particular attention to the health and welfare of fish. To guarantee this legislation, therefore, breeding methods are used that ensure good quality and well oxygenated waters, as well as the use of large marine spaces that meet the behavioral and physiological needs of the fish species reared.

Our sites reproduce the conditions of “wild” growth thanks to a low density of animals, a high concentration of oxygen and a natural diet.

The conditions of breeding and animal welfare are key principles for our company. Any use of antibiotics and growth hormones is prohibited.

To improve the immune defenses of marine species we have applied a disease prevention protocol through vaccination. Del Pesce guarantees high quality and safety in the interest of the consumer.

The Group works with specialized personnel for the management of fish farming facilities; the fishing and processing operations are carried out in compliance with the indications of the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) for the reproduction of animal stress

Our supply chain

Our short supply chain guarantees the freshness of the product. The presence of plants along the entire peninsula allows for a minimum distance between the production area and the point of sale. We fish and deliver within 24 hours.

Birth Fry

The hatchery is the place where the reproduction of our fish species (sea bass / sea bass and sea bream) takes place


The fry are sown in tubs or cages in which the first phase of growth takes place


The breeding conditions in the plant are optimal with a density that allows to obtain a product with very high quality characteristics


Fishing is carried out daily, in the final breeding sites, according to the orders, the product is distributed in the shortest possible time in order to guarantee a product that is always fresh and safe.


From the moment of fishing, the fish are prepared for transport without ever interrupting the cold chain. In this way the destination is reached within the maximum term of 24 hours from the moment of fishing


Our product is available in the fish departments of supermarkets and hypermarkets. To comply with all safety standards, the group implements all traceability and traceability procedures, providing detailed information on the lot number, the quality and type of feed administered, the days and temperatures of rearing.

Global Gap

The Global GAP protocol defines the good agricultural practices relating to the essential elements for the development of best practice applicable to farms. I rthe required requirements are compared to aenvironmental aspects (history and management of sites, environmental and waste management), on product (pesticides used, protection of farms, fishing methods), to salute of the animals, to the shealth and safety of workers and their working conditions and to the eelements relating to business management

Antibiotic Free

This certification aims to enhance the farming methods in such a way as to provide greater guarantees to the final consumer in relation to a more responsible approach, in particular through the adoption of improving production techniques, with the ultimate aim of contributing to the reduction of the antibiotic-resistance phenomenon, as well as ensure the absence of the use of antibiotic treatments


The IFS Food standard is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized standard for auditing the food industries. The goal is the food safety and process quality and products. It concerns the food processes of manufacturing industries and industries that pack bulk food.
